Kate Kitchen is the founder and creative director of Reverie Interior Design, a boutique studio renowned for quietly layered, emotionally intelligent interiors. Her work blends British heritage with contemporary European elegance – a modern expression of classical beauty shaped by curated details, subtle historical references, and an atmosphere of understated luxury.
Alongside private residential commissions, Kate works at a broader creative level — advising on atmosphere, spatial experience, and design direction for commercial, hospitality, and concept-led projects.
Taking on a select number of commissions each year, Kate works with discretion, depth, and a rare level of creative focus.

A Background in Beauty, Balance & Emotion
Raised in the cathedral city of Wells and later near Bruton, Kate’s early life was steeped in classical architecture, rural beauty, and quiet creativity. Her education in Bruton – now celebrated for its arts and design culture – sparked her lifelong fascination with aesthetics, storytelling, and the emotional potential of interiors.
Years spent in London further refined her eye: a period shaped by creative work, motherhood, and immersion in the city’s cultural world. Additional years in Sussex and extensive travel across Europe and Asia – including Hong Kong, where her sister founded Reverie Vintage – expanded her sense of global style and the art of thoughtful curation.
Kate brings a rare combination of intuition and clarity to every project, grounded as much in her design expertise as in two decades of fast-paced professional environments where communication, precision, and vision were paramount.
This blend of cultural sensitivity and professional rigour continues to shape Kate’s work today — from private homes to complex, multi-layered design environments.
